Just had to show this !!!

Wish I could claim credit for this but it's the work of Angela ,

who brought her work in to show me on Friday and

I absolutely adore it .

The doll's name is coinsidently "Lily"

and Angela even felted and decorated the fabric before making her dress.

How lucky am I that she has lent me her embellishing machine to try before I buy ---

Will show other super projects of Angela's soon .

Late Entry !!!

For The Ribbon Girl's Fourth Colour Competition -Pink and Green

I've made a simple choker  on a base of the pink seam binding (thank you Kath )

and layered up with green and pink trims.

The pink heart pins and bling buckle are also from the Ribbon Girls.

I reposition the bow for the photo so it would show up and will reattatch to the centre front .

The competition finishes at midnight so you still have time to enter ------

What great service and price from Cutting Edge Crafts.

Will now be able to cut wool fabric and felt, however not opened it yet 'cos as you know I can be easily sidetracked and have other work to finish first -----

but maybe should try it just to make sure it's ok  ?

Stripped and Ready for Action !

The lampshade has been stripped of it's trim , stamped and...........

the embroidering has begun, however it will have to fitted in amongst other work,

but will show it when finished .

Keeping it simple - backstitch and chain stitch  on flowers -

to give a more homespun look.

Have other plans for these Hero Arts stamps, other projects following soon.

Christmas Again !!

If you've been to Kath and Debbi's blogs you'll know we got together last Friday for the first time since Glasgow and a big thank you to Debbi for my present of a

Sir Timmitastic Holtz Apron ----love it !!!

Isabel was down from Rothes on Saturday to go to Kath's demo day at Simply Create.

As usual Kath treated us to lots of tips on how to produce beautiful cards like hers .

And good to catch up with lots of known faces x

Had another sewing day today ,with some more gorgeous fabrics and trims !!!!

The shiney fabric underneath is actually the most fab silver !

Still have to catch up visiting workdesks from WOYWW ,

On the left is my fabby Macy's bag --my Christmas present from lovely pal Kath --infront of which are it's contents ,so not only crafty stash to play with ,I can swing / swoon along to Michael as I work !!

In the centre in the kraft carrier is a   belated Christmas present for another pal ,who I can't name until I see her to deliver  it -- all that bad weather has meant we weren't able to get together as planned, but will be catching up in the next few days !

Finally on the right is a lampshade, fabric ink pad ,fabric trim and a Hero Arts stamp set,

all thats missing is embroidery silks , have you guessed what I'll be doing ???

No, not my Easter Bonnet he he !!!

you know how it is when you go to look for something and get side tracked --- well I do ---and this is what I found .. A box of forgotten treasure . Now the question is what to do with it ! Sure I'll think of something ,

but best not get too sidetracked as have other commisions to do and workshop samples , not to mention cards .

Off to nose round your desks and will no doubt get sidetracked visiting everyone,

isn't it fun to peek .

Forward planning.....

Was in at The Simply Create new shop yesterday and along with Jacqui have compiled a list of new workshops and some old repeats --cutie patoote which was postponed due to the weather-(originally a christmas gift bag/tote it will be made in pretty red coordinates )and the shabby raggy chic cushion because of demand ! yay !

Lots of new ones though and along with machine sewing some include stamping and embroidery.all to produce a useful,decorative item and hopefully inspire you to make more .

The list is at the top of the blog foer a few days , then I will move it to a seperate page and add pictures of the projects.

Also in the pipeline are mini makes -- a shorter fun class ,but still producing a little gem.

For lots of other class dates with Kath,Debbi and Judy pop to Simply Create Blog....................

A coordinate raggy cushion now in residence on the sofa at the new shop.

Jacqui's new shop is now open and has a host of fab fabrics for this quick and easy technique which will have you making cushions in a day or a quilt in two !!!!

Wendy even turned hers into a Knitting Bag - will get a pic of it for you to see.

WOYWW -- Friday Edition !!

Late joining in Julia's WOYWW this week -

have still been down with the lurgy so not producing anything this week again !

Just for something to show you , this is the order taken at Revamp by Moira

 at the open day at the Aberdeen Antiques Centre in November .

It was finished and delivered in time for Christmas.
