finding space in the sew room

for the gorgeous new fabric

cabbages and roses

which arrived yesterday.

(after I had just merchandised !!!)

Also will be finishing the prep for tomorrows childrens workshop.

Uninvited visitor

the spider not me !

but I still managed to catch him and escort him outside .

I've never seen a spider with feelers like these before .

The ladies attending the workshop were well pleased he had vacated the premisis.

Door opens at 10.00 am

Spent a very busy day unpacking the new fabric

and with the help of a good friend

cut all the kits for Sunday's Workshop .

And Samm and Lily out to get me organised !!!!

So all shipshape and ready for action !!!!

Phew !!!!!!

Mr Delivery Man made it !!!!

Early afternoon today saw the arrival of new fabrics to

the sew room

Just in time for the official opening on Saturday

and the shabby raggy cushion workshop on Sunday

looking forward to the weekend

Or in my case what should have been on my desk this Wednesday!!!

Loads of new fabric for the shop ----

The shipment arrived in Aberdeen at 7am   and at 6pm there was no sign of it !!!

So much for a half day !!!

But there's always a silver lining .......

Samm and Lily came out to Alford instead of me going in to them and we spent a super afternoon

doing jobs in the shop and Liiy was just charming the socks off all the customers .

I stayed open whilst awaiting Mr delivery man and had lots of new faces popping in .

And there's more ...

after the girls set off home I stayed on and took time to make the sample for a childrens class next week,

as those in this neck of the woods know it's the tattie holidays

 The class --- 

a cute little cushion with a heart applique

they learn blanket stitch and practice sewing on buttons

then finish by constructing the cushion

and tah dah

their own creation

The class is at --- the sew room

Had a super day with Moira at Rustiques . yesterday

Six lovely ladies had fun discovering the versatility of

Annie Sloan's Chalk Paint.

Yes , it really was great fun yesterday at

at the Papeterie

with chums Kath and Debbi and a host of fantastic ladies

They really were stars.....

intense concentratuon and a hive of industry

Working away on the shabby chic Christmas Cone....

which was renamed Rustic Christmas ....

although other names may be available over on Tina's blog soon  -- Eh Tina ????

he he !!!

great hilarity as Tina and chums "modelled " their finished pieces ---

And special thanks Tina for the pressies

Beetroot chutney opened and enjoyed with the curry and wine last night ,

before putting my feet up for the evening !!!!!!

Tired but happy .

and making the day run like clockwork.

Charlotte at the Papeterie was as always the perfect hostess,

even making us yummy cupcakes --- thank you Charlotte x

Well , today am  off this morning to work in the shop
